In a change to the advertised main event of the big 10 year anniversary show in Great Yarmouth on 7th October - Brad O'Brien will take on 'The Banker' Marc Lloyd who makes his long awaited return to the ring. It was announced back in August at Beach Ball Mania that Big Joe would defend the DOA Heavyweight Championship against Brett Semtex in their third big encounter. However, Big Joe made an announcement earlier this week that he would no longer be at the show.
Big Joe was scheduled to fly out to the States last week take take part in the tournament of death, but it was postponed due to weather conditions. The rescheduled show has clashed with the DOA show and DOA management have given Joe their blessings to attend. This means his scheduled match with Semtex will no longer headline the anniversary. However, the Big Joe and Semtex match will still take place at a upcoming DOA show - we will keep you posted on when this is rescheduled for.
The new main event signed of O'Brien and Lloyd is also a huge match for so many reasons. Brad O'Brien is now the go 4 glory briefcase holder and the Banker just two weeks ago reinstated himself to the active roster. There is no love loss between these two and it all stems back to the last Ipswich show when O'Brien made his return from injury and brutally assaulted The Banker with the social media championship. Marc Lloyd has clearly had enough of the Farrell family and this is his chance to even the score after nearly two years away from the ring. This is not one to be missed.
Meanwhile, as some people may be aware, DOA's shows on Fite TV this month switched to Fite Plus. We would appreciate our fans signing up to a subscription with Fite to view our new and improved shows. There is currently a back log of the shows with May's Yarmagedon show broadcasting last week. More will follow as we bring our fans up to date.
