Ever since the end of 2023, the cursed monster Hex has been on a mission to gain revenge on those who have wronged him. Whilst he still has a score to settle with the Cult of Hyde, he has also had the Farrell Family on his mind. In the Blaze of Glory main event, Hex was set to team with a mystery partner to take on Lord Steven Farrell and fellow family member Rexx Wylde in tag team action infront of the packed Drill House. Prior to the match in an interview with AK, Lord Steven mocked H3ex stating he had no friends as his only friend Jack E Hyde had turned his back on him. The Family doubted that anyone would team with him and indeed that appeared to be true when Hex walked out for the match alone. Farrell gave him the opportunity to walk away but Hex with the fans on his side was ready to fight.
Hex started well, keeping both Farrell and Wylde under control but the numbers game kicked in and the Family made Hex's weak knee a target. Wylde and Farrell then dominated and looked like they had the match under control. That was until the lights suddenly went out and some western style music started to play. When the lights came back on, the masked man known as the Sunset Rider was on the appron waiting for Hex to tag him in. Sunset Rider full of energy then took care of both Farrell and Wylde allowing Hex to get back to his feet. Hex downed Wylde with a choke slam and the Rider finished off Farrell with a driver after avoiding a punch with the knuckle dusters. It was victory for the mysterious masked man. Whilst he celebrated with Hex, Lord Steven was furious on the outside claiming that Sunset Rider is Sunset Skip (whose career he ended last year) but everyone seemed to deny it and enjoyed the moment to end the show.
Heavyweight Champion Brad O'Brien faced a huge challenge in his first defense of DOA's biggest prize. He went up against Richard Holliday who had made his way to DOA from across the pond. This was a fast paced encounter which went back and forth, and it seemed at times that Holliday's experience and with the fans behind him was going to take the gold. However, O'Brien reached the end of his tether and the champion attempted to use the championship belt but Holliday was wise to it and countered. As the MLW star looked at the belt he contemplated using it himself but Lord Steven Farrell ran out and grabbed the belt. This was enough to cause a distraction for Brad O'Brien to hit his spinning TKO and pin the American star to retain the DOA Heavyweight Championship.
Things started to get brutal when heavyweights Big 'F'N' Joe battled Blake one on one in a Bankhouse Brawl match. This one was brutal and not for the faint hearted as Blake attempted to match up to the king of Hardcore Big Joe. There was a loud cheer as Big Joe took the victory, something which he needed to help bounce back from losing the DOA Heavyweight title last year.
DOA Women's champion Leia Elise has been unstoppable in recent months and everyone who has gone against her has failed to come close to taking her championship. At Blaze of Glory her title was not on the line but her opponent Karama had the opportunity to earn a shot at the gold in May when DOA returns to Great Yarmouth, if she could beat Elise. Against all odds, Karama matched up to Elise and took the victory in what could be seen as an upset. Elise was a mix of shocked and angry and knows that she will need to up her game on May 4th at Yarmagedon. Karama has beat her once, can she do it again when it matters most for the title?
Since winning the Adrenaline cup last year, Sir Ryan Matthews' progress seems to have halted much to his frustration. He set out to get things back on track but yet again fell short as he battled 'The Banker' Marc Lloyd who himself was still getting back on track, but this was now 2 out of 2 victories on 2024. Sir Ryan was not happy when he spoke to AK after the match but reminded everyone he is still the cup holder and is due a shot at the Adrenaline championship.
The Adrenaline championship was on the line in the opening match as champion Furio defended against Dillon Slade. Slade who has mostly been in tag team action recently as one half of the champions, proved himself yet again but could not quite do enough to overcome Furio who made a successful title defense.
Last time DOA was in Great Yarmouth, Jack E Hyde was joined by two big masked brutes as they assaulted Hex. The two men were revealed as tag team NLP - Crowley and Mitch Basher, who had officially joined the Cult of Hyde. Jack E Hyde was in their corner as they made their official DOA debut in tag team action against Act Two who made their long awaited return to DOA. Jack Knudsen and Benjamin Harland had their work cut out against the two big men and the odds were stacked against them. NLP showed they had no regard for the rules and were disqualified as they took things too far. Even after the bell rang, they continued their assault on Act Two until Hot Stuff ran out to make the save. The Cult of Hyde continues to make a statement and show they have no limits. Should they be watching out for Hex though?
